What happens if I move house?

If you're relocating, here’s what to know about moving your internet service, timing the change, and what happens to the equipment in your current home.

How to transfer your service to a new address

📧 Email: [email protected]
📞 Call: 1800 SPLICE (1800 775 423)

Moving house? Let us know your new address so we can check if Splice is available there. If it is, we’ll help you set up a new connection and make sure the handover is smooth.

All we need from you is:

  • Your move-in date

  • Your preferred cancellation date for the old address

  • A heads-up if you’d like a few days of overlap between services

You’ll be billed for each service based on the time it’s active. Once your new place is up and running, we’ll close off the old one when you’re ready.

The sooner you reach out, the easier the move.

Timing your move

Once you cancel, you’ll receive a final invoice and your disconnection date. We recommend allowing some overlap between your old and new services. This gives you time to get set up at your new place without rushing or risking downtime.

If you’re unsure about the best timing, our team can help you plan it out.

Do I take the ONT with me?

No — the ONT or connection device on your wall should remain at the property.

This device is registered to the specific install location and will not work elsewhere. You do not need to remove or return it unless we tell you otherwise. It remains the property of Rural Fibre Co and must not be moved or tampered with.
