Whether you’re part of our initial rollout or live in an existing connected area, getting online with Splice Internet is simple.
Step-by-step overview
Find out if we’re in your area
Initial rollout: You’ll receive a letter in the mail when Rural Fibre Co is coming to your street.
Already connected area: Use our online availability checker – if your address is ready, you can sign up straight away.

Choose the plan that best suits your household.
If your property doesn’t already have a Rural Fibre Co cable (lead-in), you’ll book an installation date as part of sign-up.
Installation day (s)
Our team arrives on your booked date.
If a lead-in is needed, we’ll carry out the civil works that day – usually involving digging or drilling a small trench from the street to your premises. If the work is more complex than usual, we may require more than one day.
If your property already has a cable, we’ll simply connect you to the network. If it doesn't, we'll install a cable.
We'll then place a network termination device (NTD) inside your home and connect it to the cable. This will replace any existing router you may have.
Go live
Once installation is complete, we’ll activate your service and confirm everything is working before we leave.
If you're in a larger house we may offer you a Beacon device (at cost) which extends your wifi signal.
Timelines at a glance
Already has lead-in: Usually active within a few hours of sign-up.
Needs new lead-in: Usually installed and activated on the same day as your booked appointment.
Do I need to be home?
Yes – a person over 18 must be present to give the technician access inside and approve the location for the trenching works, internal cabling and your NTD.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our team for more info.
