What to do if your payment fails

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Next steps, retries, and how to avoid late fees

If your payment doesn’t go through

Sometimes a payment might fail because of a card issue, insufficient funds, or a problem with your bank. If that happens, don’t stress — we’ll try again automatically.

We’ll retry your payment

We’ll attempt to process your payment again up to three times, usually every two days. You don’t need to do anything unless we let you know otherwise.

Check your payment details

If your payment keeps failing, the best thing to do is:

  • Log into your account

  • Check that your card details are up to date

  • Make sure there are enough funds available

  • Contact your bank if you think the payment is being blocked

How long you have before late fees apply

If your payment still hasn’t gone through after the retries, your account may become overdue.

We allow a grace period of 10 business days from the original due date to fix the payment. If the debt isn’t cleared in that time, late fees may apply.

We’ll always let you know before this happens.

Want to avoid late fees?

The easiest way is to:

  • Keep your card details up to date

  • Make sure funds are available around the time your payment is due
