Once your Splice Internet service is online, you can personalise your WiFi network name (SSID) to something easy to recognise.
Using the Nokia WiFi app (recommended)
Open the Nokia WiFi app on your phone or tablet.
Tap the Menu (☰) and go to WiFi settings.
Select Network name (SSID).
Enter your new WiFi name — keep it simple but unique so you’ll remember it.
Tap Save/Apply.
Your NTD/ONT will update and your WiFi will restart with the new name.
Note: After this change, you’ll need to reconnect your devices using the new WiFi name.
Using the web interface (more advanced)
Connect your device to the NTD/ONT WiFi.
Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.18.1.
Log in with your admin password (found on the label under your NTD/ONT).
Go to WiFi settings and change the SSID.
Save your changes — your NTD/ONT will reboot its wireless network.
Tip: For security, avoid using personal information (like your name or address) in your WiFi name.
